Stories of Excellence: among watches, jewellery, luxury and beauty

Stories of Excellence: among watches, jewellery, luxury and beauty

Bartorelli 1882, Luigi Verga Spa and Hausmann & Co: the first three exceptional spokespeople and protagonists in Vicenzaoro’s new project that aims to tell the story of watches & jewellery, the market’s highest segment, through a series of video-interviews with the international gold-jewellery world’s leading figures, filmed during the last edition of the Show.
And so, Stories of Excellence, a docu-film in episodes with key players representing the sector’s excellence speaking about watch and jewellery making in its highest segment through the charm and quality of motion-picture language.

At centre-stage, three champions of high-range from the world of watches & jewellery: Mario Didone, Jewellery Manager for Hausmann & Co., Umberto Verga, President of Luigi Verga Spa and Carlo Bartorelli, Managing Director of Gruppo Bartorelli 1882.
Thanks to a prestigious collaboration with Michele Mengoli, and the direction of Gigi de Donno (Black Sheep Produzioni), the docu-film gathers ideas and reflections of leading players to analyse the sector’s progress and imagine its future.

The story starts with Hausmann & Co., whose foundation dates back to 1794 making it one of the oldest watch and jewellery companies in the world today: “The first-class craftsmanship, high skill, professionalism and seriousness that we have invested in over two centuries of history are still our priorities. Trade shows are very important: we have always had excellent relations with jewellery and watch trade shows. For jewellery, Vicenza provides an essential support for our work because you meet colleagues, talk, see and decide. It is a huge container which is essential in a company’s life. If a company wants to evolve, it absolutely has to attend trade shows. It cannot do otherwise”.

And then space for the four Milanese multi-brands belonging to Luigi Verga Spa, a privileged outpost to foresee the future dynamics of the most up-to-date Italian city in terms of globalization: “In recent years we have been experiencing a continually evolving market. Tastes change just as quickly and it is good to understand the trends in a hurry and process them so as to offer the customers the very best. The trade show is more important today than it was yesterday. Because it is the final and most important interlocutor. And you need healthy competition: the show puts us all in one space. It is years since I came to Vicenza. I have been pleasantly struck by the quality and beauty of the displays. If well managed, trade shows will once more be the focal point in which to exhibit a certain type of product”.

Lastly, Bartorelli 1882, which, with its five boutiques located in strategic places, is an emblem of Italian lifestyle on the wrist of the Italian and international jet set: “Success is due to a series of things: first and foremost, sacrifice and sweat, because without these, you don’t get anywhere. And then there are strategic choices, initially lucky and then winning”.
