“A winter butterfly” by Maman et Sophie
Maman et Sophie is bringing light back into the industry with the flutter of a butterfly’s wing on a meadow, leading to the creative spark that takes a new shape through the material.
The “Una farfalla d’Inverno” collection is born and “Il chiaro e lo scuro” reflects a life that is full of meaning, where light and darkness live alongside one another. Bright colours, light shades and deeper, darker tones come together to create new beauty, new life. Darkness exists only because we are aware of the power of light.
By freeing itself from its shell, the young moth soon becomes an adult butterfly which, thanks to the beauty of its lifetime, is able to break free from all weight, flying higher and higher, appreciating every different shade in the imperfect wings that hold her up, free from every chain (“Woman in chains, Tears for Fears”).
Transformation is the key theme of this process, “Becoming”, which means changing, reinventing ourselves, to become aware of our own ability to adapt to every change that life brings with it.
